The brief for this office was that it needed to work hard. The couple had this one space to fit in guest accommodation, storage for their book collection and a much needed quiet space to work. I designed this reinforced bookcase it sit over the mantle and make the most out of the usable space for the books. For guests, there is a clever folding clothes rack stored under the bed which can assembles in seconds and the desk can double up as a dressing table. Most of the time, this is a quiet place to work and the layout works perfectly for all three functions.
